Abstract
Variations in the ortho-positron annihilation lifetime and Doppler broadeni ng behaviour of polycarbonate are examined as a function of isothermal and isochronous ageing over the temperature range 303 K to 393 K over a period of 64 days. The molecular origins of the changes observed are discussed and data fitted to models based on structural relaxation of the quenched polym er matrix. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
