Abstract
Epidermoid carcinoma cell line KB shown by PAP-analysis to be positive for Fas-antigen and sensitive to Fas-mediated apoptosis. Monoclonal anti-Fas an tibody, IPO-4 (IgM), induced cell death in human epidermoid carcinoma cell line KB with the development of classic morphological features of apoptosis . Therapeutical agent cisplatin also was shown to induce apoptosis in KB ce lls with some morphological differences from Fas-mediated apoptosis. The pr esent study demonstrates that anti-Fas antibody in combination with cisplat in results In an enhanced cytotoxicity and synergy when tested against epid ermoid carcinoma cell line KB.
