Abstract
Murine L1210 leukemia cells possessing an increased resistance to cis-diami nedichloroplatinum (II) (cDDP) were found to be refractory to the transform ing growth factor (TGF) beta 1-induced growth inhibition, while the parenta l L1210 cells were strongly inhibited by this cytokine. Growth inhibition w as estimated on the basis of H-3-thymidine incorporation and direct cell co unting. These results suggest the existence of cross-resistance to cDDP and TGF-beta 1 in the studied leukemia cells.
