Abstract
The first synthesis of N-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-acetyl indole 3 from 3-acetyl i ndole and 1-fluoro-4-iodobenzene by an analogous Ullmann condensation proce dure using copper metal powder as the catalyst instead of copper alloys wid ely used for such types of condensations is described.
