Abstract
A fairly universal model is suggested for the calculation of the spectral c haracteristics of nonequilibrium plasma whose nonequilibrium is associated with the radiation yield. The model is based on the use of average atom app roximations, although it may be readily generalized to the case of detailed inclusion of ion configurations. For constructing interpolation under arbi trary conditions, use is made of the spectral characteristics of plasma, ob tained in advance for two limiting cases, namely, for transparent and nontr ansparent plasma, as well as for the intermediate case, when the collision and radiation processes play approximately the same role. The consistent in clusion of the effect of radiation on the plasma composition enables one to perform calculations for arbitrary values of the optical thickness of plas ma layers.
