Abstract
The phenomenon of ductile-brittle transition of melt-quenched iron-based am orphous alloys that occurs at room temperature after appropriate heat treat ment is considered. A structural model founded on the relaxation growth of microdiscontinuities which initiate microcracks under external stresses is suggested.
