Abstract
A method of analysis of inverse gas chromatography (IGC) measurements on co polymers to calculate segmental interaction parameters was proposed. Poly(e thylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA), poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc), and dotriacont ane (C32) were studied at 120 degrees C with eight different probes of vary ing polarities by IGC. The value of the segmental interaction parameter bet ween ethylene units and vinyl acetate units in EVA was found to be 1.18, wh ich is consistent with the literature values.
