Abstract
Claisen rearrangement of transient 2-allyloxy-3-hydroxy1-methylindole gener ated by decarboxylation of the corresponding ester afforded, at room temper ature, (+/-) -3-allyl-3-hydroxy-1-methylindol-2(3H)-one.
