Abstract
Various 2-aryl derivatives of 4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydrospiro[4H-1,3-benzoxazi ne-4,1'-cyclohexane] have been efficiently prepared by the acid-catalysed r eaction of 2-(1-cyclohexen-1-yl)cyclohexanol with aromatic carbonitriles.
