Abstract
We review published work and summarize the current understanding of orienta tional correlations in liquid water and aqueous solutions near interfaces, as obtained from computer simulation studies. We present a number of exampl es in which we discuss the magnitude and the range of orientational anisotr opy and its dependence on the nature of the interface (non-polar, polar, or metallic) and the geometry of the interface (planar or curved).
