Abstract
The photoelectrochemical behavior of mercapto-substituted hypocrellin B (MS HB), deposited on SnO2 optically transparent electrodes by means of the Lan gmuir-Blodgett technique, have been investigated. Addition of electron dono rs leads to a remarkable enhancement of the photocurrents and photovoltages . Effects of the electron donor concentration, LB film layers, and illumina tion time on the magnitude of the photocurrent were studied in detail. The usefulness of hypocrellin derivatives as efficient organic photoelectrical conversion materials is suggested. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All right s reserved.
