Abstract
Static and dynamic scalar alpha(0)(omega) and tensor Delta alpha(omega) dip ole polarizabilities at real frequencies have been calculated for the two f irst excited states 2 P-1(o) and 2 P-3(o) of Be using the time-dependent ga uge-invariant method (TDGI). The results are compared with the previous acc urate theoretical data obtained by Themelis and Nicolaides at the static le vel. The dynamic results proposed here are new and complete our results pub lished previously concerning the 3 S-1 and 3 S-3 states. In all cases dynam ic components are calculated for dipole polarizability up to the first reso nances ((h) over bar omega = E-2 (1Po-2 1S) and (h) over bar omega = E2 3Po -1D) and ((h) over bar omega = E2 3Po-3S and (h) over bar omega = E2 3Po-3D ) for the singlet and the triplet states, respectively.
