Abstract
High-quality screw closures can also be gated directly from inside without the need for costly mould designs such as three-plate moulds. For this purp ose, a combination of externally heated, balanced runners and very slender internally heated nozzles is required. The nozzles can be mounted and opera ted within thin cores.
