Abstract
[2-[[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl]phenolato(2-)-N,O,O']-2-methoxycarbonyle thyltin chloride, CH3OCOCH2CH2SnClL (L = OC6H4CH:NC6H4O), has been synthesi zed by the reaction of 2-methoxycarbonylethyltin trichloride with N-(2-hydr oxyphenyl)salicylaldimine (H2L) in the presence of triethylamine and charac terized by means of elemental analysis, nl H-1 NMR spectra and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Transesterification reactions of the title compound w ith ROH proceeded readily.
