Abstract
Octreotide scanning is increasingly being used to detect tumours with somatostatin receptors. Moreover, there is growing interest in the use of somatostatin analogues for the treatment of tumours with somatosta tin receptors. This review documents the use at our institution of the octreotide scan in three patients with intrathoracic pathology, and c omments on overall experience in the literature with this technology.
