Abstract
In agreement with previous studies we show an age-related increase in serum levels of hyaluronic acid in healthy individuals. Levels in Down's syndrom e persons were slightly higher, especially in those with hypothyroidism. Th is provides further evidence that the normal ageing process is accelerated in Down's syndrome.
