Abstract
This work presents an intelligent system based on a 80535 microcontroller f or determining X and gamma-rays dose with a cylindrical electret ionization chamber. The versatility obtained with the use of intelligent instrumentat ion presents advantages in applications hazardous to operators. Results sho w the reliability of the system for radiation dosimetry as well as its suit ability for a wide range of applications. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Al l rights reserved.
