Abstract
Phase retrieval, and thereby retrieval of optical constants, from magnetore flectance data is performed using the maximum entropy model for spectra ana lysis. The applicability of the analysis is tested by using the Lorentz mod el for the permittivity of a nonmagnetic insulator in a case of Faraday con figuration.
