Abstract
While most pediatric cancer patients remain in the care of their primary pe diatricians or general practitioners, interdisciplinary cooperation among a ll physicians caring for these patients is necessary to ensure quality care in patients surviving cancer. This article proves the primary care pediatr ician with recommendation for detection, treatment, referral, and follow-up of complications of cancer therapy in children.
