We report here results from first order many body theory, distorted wave ap
proximation, and converged dose coupling calculations for polarization frac
tions and alignment creation parameters in the case of 2 S-1 --> n P-1(n =
3 - 5), 2 S-3 --> n P-1(n = 2 - 5), 2 S-1 --> n D-1(n = 3 - 5), 2 S-3 --> n
D-1(n = 3 - 5), 2 S-3 --> n D-3(n = 3 - 5), and 2 S-1 --> n D-3(n = 3 - 5)
excitations in helium for electron impact energies from threshold to sever
al hundred eV.
