Abstract
MOXE (MOnitoring X-ray Experiment) is the all-sky X-ray monitor on the Spec trum-X-Gamma astrophysical observatory. The six MOXE pinhole cameras will e nable almost continous observation of more than 95% of the sky in the 2-25 keV energy band. The scientific objectives of MOXE are to detect transient X-ray sources for follow-up by instruments on SXG or by other observers, as well as to study the time variability of X-ray sources. With a sensitivity of approximate to 3 mCrab (5 sigma) most of the observed persistent source s will be Galactic X-ray binaries. MOXE will be well suited as a partner in multi-wavelength campaigns.
