Abstract
The overall phenomenology of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) with particular a ttention to the high energy band of electromagnetic spectrum is discussed i n the light of the most recent BeppoSAX and ASCA observational data. The ad vantages of future observations made available by the deep sensitivity broa d-band coverage instruments onboard INTEGRAL and Spectrum X-gamma are also addressed.
