Energies of the ground state and of the excited states of an acceptor in a
wire-like cylindrical heterostructure are calculated as a function of the c
ylinder radius R. When deriving the acceptor energy spectrum, the electrost
atic potential for a cylindrical quantum wire is used. The interaction betw
een a hole and the different kinds of phonons is taken into account. Resona
nt states of the bound hole polaron are studied.
