Abstract
Two novel nonterpenoidal constituents, nimbothalin and n-tridecyl benzene, have been isolated from leaves of Azadirachta indica and characterized spec troscopically. The structure of nimbothalin was established as 2-[(2,4-dica rboxy-3-methyl)-benzyl]-8,10-dimethyl-1,3,5,7,9-undeca-pentaene. (C) 1998 P ublished by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
