Abstract
Sequential computed tomographic scanning was performed in patients with nec k tumors after contrast material administration. For data analysis,a pharma cokinetic two-compartment was employed that takes into account both capilla ry blood supply and bidirectional diffusion of the contrast agent across th e capillary wall. This approach offers the possibility to quantitatively ch aracterize tissue microcirculation with regional blood flow, capillary perm eability, and relative compartmental volumes.
