An elastic neutron scattering study of the temperature-dependence of the or
dered magnetic moment in EuB6 is presented. The decrease of the saturation
magnetization of similar to 7 mu(B) with increasing temperature is shown to
follow the Bloch T-3/2-law, with no indication of a spin-gap behavior. The
magnetic coupling constant deduced from the Bloch law fit corresponds to a
mean-field ordering temperature of similar to 12 K, close to the actually
observed ordering temperature and the paramagnetic Curie-temperature deduce
d from high-temperature magnetic susceptibility. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science
