The bed-by-bed standard of the Silurian for Eastern Siberia

The bed-by-bed standard of the Silurian for Eastern Siberia is elaborated f or the first time in order to correlate all natural and borehole sections o f the region with the detailed standard sections in other type areas. The s tandard includes stratotypes of regional horizons, subhorizons, chronozones , and beds distinguished in the Silurian stratigraphic sequences of the Moi ero, Turukhansk, and Norilsk stratotype areas of Eastern Siberia, All the b eds and interbeds graphically shown in the composite standard section are s upplemented with data an distribution ranges of different faunal groups. Th eir lithologic and taphonomic characteristics are also presented.
