We report experimental data on the temperature and concentration dependence
s of the Nernst coefficient in the normal state for the YBa2Cu3-xCoxOy cera
mic samples with increasing Co content up to x = 0.3. The Nernst coefficien
t is positive, and its value increases almost linearly with x. The temperat
ure dependences of Q have been analyzed on the basis of a narrow band model
, together with data on other transport coefficients. Using a complex quant
itative analysis of four transport coefficients, we were able to estimate t
he carrier mobility and to elucidate a character of the energy dependence o
