Abstract
Hexadecaalkyl-substituted nickel phthalocyanines II 11 and 12 and a bisaxia lly coordinated hexadecaalkyl-substituted ruthenium phthalocyanine 13 were synthesized from the corresponding tetraalkylphthalodinitriles 9 and 10, re spectively, and metal chlorides. The obtained phthalocyanines show excellen t solubility in aprotic organic solvents. Their spectral and electrochemica l properties are discussed.
