Sd. Jung et al., Temperature dependent photoluminescence and electroluminescence propertiesof polythiophene with hydrogen bonding side chain, SYNTH METAL, 98(2), 1998, pp. 107-111
We have investigated the temperature dependent optical absorption, photolum
inescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) properties of a highly soluble
and hydrogen-bond forming polythiophene with a urethane side chain, poly[2-
(3-thienyl)ethanol n-butoxy carbonyl-methylurethane] (PURET). We have found
that PURET shows the thermochromism and the temperature dependence in EL a
nd PL spectra. Within a limited temperature range, the EL and PL intensitie
s increase with increasing temperature and this is attributed to the therma
lly induced deformation of the ordered portion in polymer chain. (C) 1998 E
