Abstract
The voltammetric response and the pi --> pi* absorption band of poly(4,4'-d ipentoxy-2,2'-bithiophene) clearly depend on the supporting electrolyte use d in the electrochemical preparation. The X-ray diffraction experiments sho wed a more extended crystal phase in the polymer prepared with tetrabutylam monium tetrafluoroborate as electrolyte, while the same polymer prepared wi th tetrabutylammonium perchlorate is practically amorphous.
