Pelvic ultrasound and human chorionic gonadotropin assays are currently the
standard methodology to detect tubal pregnancy. We report a case of infert
ility investigated by hysterosalpingography in which a clinically unsuspect
ed chronic tubal pregnancy was identified with the predisposing factor of b
ilateral salpingitis isthmica nodosa. The radiographic findings of this ver
y rare cause of tubal filling defect are shown.
