Abstract
The three tensor polarization components (t(20), t(21) and t(22)) of the re coil deuteron in elastic electron-deuteron scattering have been measured in the range of 4-momentum transfer Q = 4.1-6.8 fm(-1). The experiment was pe rformed with the multi-GeV, high intensity electron beam available at the J efferson Laboratory and using the tensor deuteron polarimeter POLDER. These new data are used to separate the charge G(C) and quadrupole G(Q) form fac tors at large momentum transfer and provide additional constraints on theor etical models.
