Abstract
A new coordinate system for hyperdimensional computer graphics called parallel volume coordinates is developed. Parallel axis, parallel plan e, and parallel volume coordinates are compared using the representati ons of points, lines, hyperplanes, and hypervolumes. Coordinate dimens ion is distinguished from parametric dimension. A unique correspondenc e property for each of the three parallel coordinate systems is charac terized, illustrated, and proved.
