Abstract
The effect of Cu(I) catalyst on the coupling of several substituted tributy lorganostannanes with allyl halides was studied. Several parameters were ex amined such as: solvent, temperature, reaction time and concentration of th e catalyst The results show that CuCl could be an effective catalyst and th e optimum reaction conditions are: THF, 10 % (mol) of CuCl, 55 degrees C an d 20 hs, of reaction. The presence of an heteroatom (O preferred to S) on t he alpha-C was found to be essential for the reaction to occur under those conditions.
