Abstract
Transition properties such as transition energies, oscillator strengths, tr ansition probabilities, and quantum defect values have been reported for th e interconfiguration forbidden transitions 3p(6): S-1(e) --> 3p(5)(P-2)np: D-1(e) (n = 4, 5, 6, 7) and 3p(6): S-1(e) --> 3p(5)(P-2)nf: D-1(e) (n = 4, 5, 6, 7) for the first few members of Ar isoelectronic sequence from Ar to Cr6+. The linearized version of time-dependent coupled Hartree-Fock (TDCHF) theory has been applied to calculate such transition properties. These dat a are very useful in identifying the solar spectral lines in the ultraviole t region. Most of the data for oscillator strengths, transition probabiliti es, and quantum defect values from K+ onward are new. Transition energies a gree well with the existing experimental results wherever available.
