Abstract
Ticorea comprises five species, which occur in the Guianas, throughout the Amazonian basin, and on the lower eastern slopes of the Andes in Ecuador, P eru, and Bolivia. Two of the five are described here as new: T. diandra, fr om eastern Ecuador and adjacent Peru, and T, froesii, from Maranhao and Par a, Brazil.
