Abstract
Clonal karyotypic alterations of a uterine angioleiomyoma of a 41-year-old woman are reported. Cytogenetically a stemline of the tumor and two related subclones with additional abnormalities due to karyotypic evolution were i dentified: 46,X,t(X;11)(p11.4;p15)/46,idem,inv(2)(p15q13)/46, idem,inv(2)(p 15q13),t(5;20)(q13;q13.2). None of the aberrations observed in the present case has been reported in uterine smooth muscle tumors before. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1998.
