Abstract
In this work we present a very fast and parsimonious method to calculate th e centre coordinates of hyperbolic components in the Mandelbrot set. The me thod we use constitutes an extension for the complex domain of the one deve loped by Myrberg for the real mag x bar right arrow x(2)-p , in which, give n the symbolic sequence of a superstable orbit, the parameter value origina ting such a superstable orbit is worked out. We show that, when dealing wit h complex domain sequences, some of the solutions obtained correspond to th e centres of the Mandelbrot set's hyperbolic components, while some others do not exist.
