Abstract
The SILENE reactor today is a reference source able to meet the expect ation of a great number of researchers in the fields of physics, neutr onics, biology and dosimetry. The latest technical developments and it s multiple operating possibilities enable this experimental reactor of the French Nuclear Protection and Safety Institute (IPSN) to provide a large range of calibrated neutron and gamma radiation fields which c an be reproduced very easily.
