Abstract
Novel dinuclear pyridine-l-imine Rh(III) complexes [Cp*Rh(mu(2)-Cl) {mu(2)- NHNC5H4(4-Me)}(2)RhCp*]Cl[PF6](2) (3) and [Cp*Rh(mu(2)-Cl) {mu(2)-NHNC5H3(2 -CH2)(6-Me)}RhCl-Cp*][PF6] (4) were synthesized by the reaction of [Cp*RhCl 2](2) with [NH2NC5H4(4-Me)][PF6] and [NH2-NC5H3(2,6-Me-2)][PF6], respective ly, in the presence of a base. The formation of 4 involves C(sp(3))-H bond activation at the benzylic position of a pyridine-1-imine ligand.
