Abstract
The new multi-analyser technique is briefly described and the information c ontained in its tensiotrace detailed. This signal can give measurements of various physical and chemical properties of the test liquid. D-functions as sociated with the various tensiotrace features are defined. The application of the D-functions in quality control of whiskey manufacture are described . A brief discussion on the potential of this new optoelectronic technique for in-line quality control is provided which requires some detailed consid eration to be given to the temperature stability of the D-values. The paper ends with a short consideration of the possible potential of the technique for the industrial analysis of whiskey. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
