Abstract
The Intermediate Frequency and Modem System (IFMS) is a new Tracking, Telem etry & Command (TT&C) system being designed by the GEC-Marconi Research Cen tre (UK) and ATNR (France) under European Space Agency (ESA) contract. The project is currently in the design phase and production equipment is schedu led for delivery towards the end of 1999. This paper discusses the technolo gy used within the IFMS and concentrates on its novel signal processing fea tures.
