The effect of physicochemical properties of the liquid on the parameters characterising the pulsing flow of fluids through a fixed-bed

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the parameters which cha racterise the pulsing flow of the gas and liquid through a bed, namely the frequency of the pulsation and the velocity of the liquid pulses travelling along the bed. These parameters were determined experimentally for water a s well as for liquids differing from water in their physicochemical propert ies. The results of experiments were presented in the form of diagrams and appropriate correlating formulas.
