Fj. Keil et S. Dahnke, NUMERICAL-CALCULATION OF SCALE-UP EFFECTS OF PRESSURE FIELDS IN SONOCHEMICAL REACTORS - HOMOGENEOUS PHASE, Hungarian journal of industrial chemistry, 25(1), 1997, pp. 71-80
Over the last few years a large number of chemists and engineers worki
ng in synthesis and materials processing are interested in application
s of ultrasound. Ultrasound may lead to higher yields, higher selectiv
ities or even new products. The development of fundamentals for the de
sign of sonochemical reactors is still in the beginning. In this paper
linear effects of sound fields in sonochemical reactors in a homogene
ous phase are investigated. Scale-up effects in some types of reactors
have been calculated, especially the energy density distribution with
in the reactor. From this distribution the probabilities of the genera
tion of cavitation bubbles can be calculated.
