Abstract
In this work we extend the minimum error method to a two-dimensional s ystem (which introduces all the essential elements to solve a multi-di mensional case), by applying it to a standard test problem: inelastic scattering in a collinear collision of a particle with a Morse oscilla tor. We explore the feasibility of using a trial wave function of a th awed Gaussian when employing the minimum error method for the propagat ion.
