Coherent states and the classical limit on irreducible SU3 representations

We give an explicit construction of the SU3 coherent states for an arbitrar y irreducible representation. We also construct the symplectic structure on the manifold of coherent states, find canonical variables and discuss vari ous classical limits of quantum-mechanical systems with relevant observable s that obey su(3) commutation relations.
