Equivalence transformations and approximate solutions of a nonlinear heat conduction model

We propose a method of finding approximate solutions associated with nonlin ear partial differential equations involving a small parameter by using equ ivalence transformations. As an application of our method we consider a one -dimensional nonlinear heat conduction model and study its approximate solu tions.
