Abstract
Magnetoresistance and magnetization were measured for single crystals of La Sr2Mn2O7 utilizing a nondestructive long-pulse magnet over the whole temper ature region below room temperature. Application of a magnetic field gradua lly changes an antiferromagnetic insulating state into a forced ferromagnet ic metallic state. It was found that the change of resistivity is irreversi ble, but no ferromagnetic domain is generated by external magnetic held.
