Abstract
The stability of the thermolumioescence (TL) response of polycrystalline di amond films after successive exposures to UV radiation was tested at a wave length of 254 nm. Due to the high sensitivity of diamond films to UV radiat ion, the experiment was designed to test the durability of the diamond film TL response when used as a UV detector. The films showed an extremely reli able behaviour and low fading and constitute a real alternative as thermolu minescent dosimeters and UV detectors. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
